Set in a scenic setting, grounds are very well taken care of. Staff is friendly, rates reasonable, facility is clean, nice pool--hot tub- lake-and pond areas, good food in the restaurant, lots of activities and weekend entertainment,game room,excersize room, and much more. Location is central to several nice little towns. Very nice place to stay.
The place is super busy and all the sites are really small. They pack the campers in tight. All the kids activities are nice but it doesn't feel like you are camping. Basically no lake access. Just a little boat launch. The ponds they advertise for swimming aren't really suitable for swimming. Full of muck and weeds. The pool was nice and warm.
Have had a seasonal campsite here for a few years. The kids love all the planned weekend activities. They have fun themed weekends like Halloween and Christmas for the kids.
We were seasonal here for 3 summers! It quickly became our second home. Lots of activities for both the kids and adults. We made lots of memories and friends who have become family. The campground is clean and quiet which is what we were looking for. The only reason we left is due to camper difficulties. We hope to be back next summer!
Outside of the overwhelming scent of sewer whenever the wind picked up and the unwelcoming staff that would rather let your child drown in their pool than let the parent of said child enter without the proper wristband this is a fantastic place to bring the entire family if the rest of your life is a vacation and you want to know what it's like to be treated poorly by a staff with a totalitarian authority complex. (Deep breath) I for one will save that feeling for work and spend the priceless time that I don't have enough of with my family elsewhere. Thanks Snows Lake Kampground for treating our family as if we mean as much to you as the septic smell meant to us! Stay Klassy!
